Complaint Letter in Nepali — Format, Template & Language

उजुरी पत्र

A complaint letter in Nepali (उजुरी / गुनासो) is a formal Devanagari letter filed with an authority — a ward office, police station, consumer forum or service provider — to record a grievance and request specific action or remedy.

What should a Nepali complaint letter include?

Required parts: recipient office, date, subject (विषय:) stating the complaint topic, body explaining the incident with date, time and people involved, the specific remedy you're requesting, your contact details, and a signature. Attach evidence as enclosures when relevant.

What tone is appropriate?

Formal, factual and restrained. State what happened with dates and details, avoid emotional language, and frame your request clearly. Authorities respond best to specific, evidence-backed complaints — vague or aggressive language reduces the chance of action.

Which template should I start from?

Use the General Formal template in the Letter Creator and adapt the subject and body to your complaint. Many complaints follow a common pattern: introduction, description of the issue, impact on you, action requested, closing.

How do I attach evidence?

List evidence under 'संलग्न:' (enclosures) at the end of the letter — e.g. photos, receipts, screenshots, witness statements. For digital submission attach files to the email or upload portal; for paper submission staple copies to the printed letter.
