Install Nepali Font on macOS — Font Book Guide

म्याकमा नेपाली फन्ट इन्स्टल

Installing a Nepali font on macOS uses Font Book, the system's font manager. Once installed, Devanagari fonts are available in Pages, Microsoft Word, Numbers, Keynote, Adobe Creative Cloud and any other macOS application.

How do I install a font using Font Book?

Download the .ttf file, double-click it to open Font Book and click 'Install Font'. Font Book copies the file into your user Fonts folder and the font is immediately available in every application's font picker. Restart open apps to see the new font.

Where does macOS store installed fonts?

Fonts you install for yourself live in ~/Library/Fonts. Fonts installed for all users live in /Library/Fonts. System fonts are in /System/Library/Fonts and should not be modified. Font Book hides this complexity for you.

How do I install multiple Nepali fonts at once?

Select multiple .ttf files in Finder and double-click. Font Book opens with all files queued and lets you install them in a single step — ideal for installing an entire Mukta or Hind family at once.

How do I uninstall or disable a font on macOS?

Open Font Book, locate the font, right-click and choose 'Remove' to uninstall or 'Disable' to keep it but hide it from application font pickers. Disabling is reversible without reinstalling.
